FEllowship In  Serving Him

What is FISH ministries?

--Local Missions/compassionate ministries. We want to see teenagers from all over the country get involved in helping others where they're at. FISH is service projects, nursing home visits, teen rallies, the possibilities are only limited by imagination.

Who can be involved?

--- Any teenager, group of teenagers, (or young adults,  or seniors) anyone who wants to see something done for Christ where they live.

How do I get involved?

We're glad you asked- Get together with a group of Chirstian friends (maybe your youth group) and plan a ministry event/service project. Once you've decided what you're going to do, send us your project proposal.( fish@zoomshare.com ) Tell us what the event is,when it will be, where it will be, and what the purpose is. We want to know so we know how to pray for it. Be sure to take pictures of the project that we can post on the site.   When you finish the event e-mail us again, tell us how it went, how many  lives were touched, send your photos, etc. Be sure to include any special praise reports or prayer requests.

 What Makes a Fish Ministry Project?

What we require is this: The Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared, through word, or deed, and someone is helped. FISH ministry can be anything from picking up trash by the side of the road, to preaching in front of 10,000 teenagers. Share your ideas with us, we'll tell you what we think and pray while you minister.

How Much does it cost to be part of FISH?

Everything! It will cost your time, your energy, your skills, FISH is not a one time thing, it's a lifestyle Fellowship In Serving Him isn't something that you get up and do some saturday morning, (though that is the way it will oft' be shown) FISH is a lifestyle of ministry, but for as far as cost from you to us NOTHING. That's right, this is a movement, an  idea, and we don't need your money.

Disclaimer: some projects will cost you money depending on what you decided to do but no money needs to be sent to us, sorry we are unable to reimburse expenses incurred remember this about ministry, not money.

 What do we believe?

FISH Ministries is a inter-denominational ministry, as such, we do not promote the doctrine of any one particular denomination. That is not to say that we do not believe in doctrine. You need to know what you believe, if you don't believe something, you'll fall for anything. FISH Ministries does affirm the Nicene creed, and the Apostles' creed, these are both basic dotrinal statements of Christianity as a whole. We ask that only groups that believe these statements participate in FISH, as they would otherwise not be representative of the position of the ministry.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
      who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
      born of the Virgin Mary,
      suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to the dead.
      On the third day he rose again;
      he ascended into heaven,
      he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
      and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* Church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen

The Nicene Creed.

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
   he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
   he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
   and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
   in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
   and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
   to judge the living and the dead,
   and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son].
With the Father and the Son
   he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic* and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

*does not refer to the Roman Catholic church, but rather the chuch universal.

Fish Ministries also believes the Bible to be the Holy, inerrant, inspired, and complete, Word of God.

I Thessalonians 2:8 - "We loved you so much that we delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us."

                                  ---and that's what it's all about-an investmet of your life.
